Milyos (Milias) is an ancient city located approximately 27 km southwest of our facility.
Milias, a city of the Hellenistic and Roman periods, is within the borders of Burdur province, Bucak District, Kocaaliler township. It is 42 km from Burdur. 30 km away from Bucak district. 5 km southeast of Kocaaliler (Melli) township. is in the southeast. It is on a natural hill overlooking the Aksu valley, between Kocaaliler township and its neighborhood Gökalan.
Kremna Ruins are 30 km away as the crow flies. is as far south as The ruins are covered with rocks and maquis. The west, south and east of the natural hill are surrounded by steep rocks that are difficult to climb. In places, the steep cliffs are surrounded by thick city walls.
The necropolis of the city is outside the city walls and to the north. Most of the dwellings and buildings in the ruins were built by cutting the main rocks and making use of the rocks. Its small theater, partially built on the bedrock, is unique in the region. The grave monuments were razed to the ground and the bottoms of the walls were excavated, and the condition of the structures shows that the history of Milias dates back to the 5th and 4th centuries BC. The original name of the city in this region, known as Milias, has not yet been found. The structures that can be seen today are Cisterns, Agora and Theater structures.
