Written Canyon (King's Road) is an ancient city located approximately 54 km northeast of our facility.
The reason it is called written is that there is a poem by Epictetus, one of the ancient Greek poets, on a free man, on a large rock in the canyon. St. Paul passed through this canyon on his way from Perge to Pisidia Antiocheia. That's why the canyon is considered one of the sacred places for Christians and religious tourism.
The rich and sparkling water of Written Canyon Nature Park, located within the borders of Isparta province, constitutes the source of Göksu Stream. The region, which attracts nature lovers with its rich vegetation, wildlife and scenic natural beauties, is also important in terms of historical ruins. There is a temple and inscriptions in the canyon, where the historical King's Road also passes. The region was declared a Nature Park in 1989.
